| CLSU student is 2008 NORMAN E. BORLAUG FELLOW |
A Ph.D. student of the Department of Aquaculture, Institute of Graduate Studies, Central Luzon State University, Philippines, and partially-funded by the Aquaculture and Fisheries Collaborative Research Support Program (AquaFish CRSP) to finish her degree, Ms. Ravelina Recometa-Velasco was selected as a Fellow for the Leadership Enhancement in Agriculture Program (LEAP) of the Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellows Program. The Borlaug LEAP Fellowship honors Nobel Laureate Dr. Norman E. Borlaug who has been hailed as the father of the Green Revolution. This fellowship award is facilitated by the University of California, Davis, USA. The Fellowship award is worth $20,000 which will be allocated as a subgrant to the US Mentor’s institution which is North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, USA.

| The Central Luzon State University-Reserved Officer Training Corps (CLSU-ROTC) won three individual awards among all ROTC units in Region 3 in the 2008 Regional Annual Administrative and Performance Evaluation (RAAPE) conducted last February 5. These awards are Best in Theoretical Examinations, Best in Administration and Best in Disassembly and Assembly of M16 Rifle. |
