| Instruction program, the principal function of the university, is implemented by the Office of Academic Affairs. It encompasses all curricular, co- and extra-curricular, including research, extension and production activities of the students and faculty members. These activities are conducted in pursuit of disciplinary enrichment and instructional development. |

| Curricular Programs |
Perhaps one of the most significant and tangible contributions of the university to the development of the country in general, and to higher education in particular, was lying the foundation for vocational-agricultural education in the country. As the foremost exponent of agricultural education, CLSU played a very important in the development of a more educated, better skilled and more committed citizenry. Throughout its history and existence, CLSU has departed from the old and traditional paradigm of teaching and learning that existed mainly in the confines of the classroom and of the campus. Graduates of CLSU have been known for their skills and hard work.
In the 1980's, CLSU was transformed into a comprehensive university with the offering of curricular programs in the arts, languages, social and breeders science. However, it retained its flagship programs in agriculture and related fields where it enjoys a comparative advantage. Today, there are eight Ph.D. and seventeen Master's program offered by the Institute of Graduate Studies. Additionally, there are also three MS courses, three diploma and eight certificate programs offered by the CLSU Open University under distance education and open learning mode. A total of twenty-two Bachelor's degree programs are offered by eight colleges in fields of agriculture, arts and sciences, business administration and accountancy, teacher education, engineering, fisheries, home technology and veterinary medicine. |

| Academic Units and Support Offices |
The instruction program is enhanced by three degree-granting institutes: Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation; Information Systems Institute; and the Environmental Management Institute, with the former providing opportunities for physical fitness and wholesome recreation. Curricular and educational support activities are also provided by the following service offices: Office of Student Affairs which cater to the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of students; the Office of Admission which is responsible in the management and safekeeping of all student records; and the University Library which is the principal source of Information.
Substantial support to enrich instructional and related activities are provided by the following specialized centers and units; CLSU Testing and Evaluation Center; Center for Educational Resources Development and Services; Center for Central Luzon Studies; Regional Science Teaching Center; Center for Tropical Mushroom Research and Development; and National Service Training Program. |
